WHISKY PHOTO OF THE WEEK
This week’s Whisky Photo of the Week comes from a couple of weeks ago when I got to spend a few minutes inside one of the warehouses at Louisville’s historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery…until that day, Diageo had never allowed the public inside the warehouses, but this one is now open as part of the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience at Stitzel-Weller.

I know I’ve been posting about this a lot lately- I just can’t get over how Kwiatkowski dumps Sagan off the back like it’s nothing. That’s on a 16% grade, by the way. I wonder if Kwiatkowski will be at the Tour of California?

it’s the mental game

We went to Japan for a quick trip last year following the Tour of Beijing - it was one of our more chaotic adventures. I swore I wouldn’t write an article about it, because I wanted to come back and ‘do it right.’ It has been almost a year, and I’ve only now understood that ‘right’ is an ideal that we rarely manage. Why not tell the story? It wasn’t what we envisioned - it was something entirely different, and it was fantastic. So I guess I have some writing to do - about katana-wielding madmen, a man called @streetviper, cross-eyed geishas, wearable mattresses, typhoons, bike rides, the best fall colors I’ve ever seen, and the age old debate: ninjas or samurai - check it out in the next issue of @pelotonmagazine. :-)
